Elizabeth Westley & Steven Mach Elizabeth Westley & Steven Mach
Artist and author team Elizabeth Westley and Steven Mach collaborate under the nom d’artiste, “The Westmachs.” From their home in the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois, they partner on compelling original artwork that celebrates Art and Literary themes. The couple works in a wide variety of media, including pastels, graphite, watercolors, and acrylics to craft visual puns guaranteed to generate grins from any liberal arts major with a sense of humor. Their witty Under the Impressionism It’s Your Birthday is a long running top seller!

The Westmachs hilariously popular designs are universally a huge hit, particularly with Museums, Cultural Institutions, and Art Galleries. Our partnership with the non-profit organization The Museum Store Association (MSA) has been an excellent collaboration, allowing us to develop products that align with traveling and local exhibitions as well as the more popular works in permanent collections nationwide. Additionally, The Westmach’s thematic work with classic films and timeless novels, places their designs squarely in the Sidelines section of Bookstores and Library Shops as well!

Steven began his career as a designer for Hallmark and worked for several studios and agencies prior to starting his own graphic design firm, Steven Mach Studio. He strives to produce innovative and amusing work within the bounds of brand identity. His reach also extends to editorial work and children’s publishing.

Working closely with writer Elizabeth Westley, the team has also created another venture, Westmach Cartoons. Witty, visually pleasing slices of life, the pair has been published by The Wall Street Journal, Barrons, The Harvard Business Review, and Reader’s Digest.

Steven is also an accomplished musician, photographer, SAG voiceover artist, and is an FAA licensed Private Pilot.
