Kevin Brunner
Kevin Brunner is a painter, actor, singer, and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, California. When not on screen, he works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, and even casein - embracing both realistic and impressionistic styles. Kevin lives an artistic life – pursuing varied interests which bring him joy.
Growing up in Missouri, Kevin developed a love of drawing at a young age. Encouraged by his father, he studied art at Northwest Missouri State University. After a year, however, he was drawn to broadcasting, earning his degree in that field. After working as an anchorman in his native Missouri, he moved to Los Angeles to try his hand at acting, where he was accepted at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
After completing a year of classes, Kevin transferred to their New York City Campus, where he worked tirelessly to break in to show business. He worked odd jobs, taking figure drawing classes, at night, to nourish and sustain his love of art.
Kevin returned to Missouri where he began painting daily and entering his work in local and national competitions. He had two art shows at local museums and saw his work published in The Artist’s Magazine and at the St. Louis Art Museum. At the same time, he continued to audition for theatre roles, eventually singing with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. After a stint living in Nashville, he returned to Los Angeles, which he now calls home. He continues to sing, act, and paint – focusing on nature and animals, his two loves. His travels have provided ample inspiration, particularly when painting landscapes, to which he is drawn.
Since joining Allport Editions, Kevin’s greeting cards, with their mix of subtle coloring and moody, active florals, have sold well in Garden Stores, Boutiques, and Gift Shops. They pair nicely with many of our other independent artists, complementing our flora and fauna, while providing wonderful opportunities for merchandising amongst our landscapes, vistas, and panoramas.
In addition to being a working artist, Kevin is a member of Actor’s Equity and SAG-AFTRA, and has recently earned his Screenwriting Certificate from UCLA.
